As Anagold Çöpler Gold Mine, we are deeply saddened by the anxiety and uncertainty experienced by our employees and their families during this difficult process following the tragic incident at our facility. As we stated in our previous statement regarding the landslide that occurred in our heap leach area at around 14:28 on Tuesday, February 13, the emergency plan was activated as soon as the incident occurred, rescue operations were initiated immediately and are still ongoing.

So far, it has been determined that there are 9 employees under the sliding soil. Search and rescue operations for our colleagues continue with the support of all public institutions and organizations that have come to our site.

Anagold has initiated a detailed investigation to determine the causes of the incident and how it occurred. Our professional teams are conducting a comprehensive investigation at the scene and in the relevant resources. This investigation process is being carried out meticulously with the contributions of experts from our company and other relevant organizations. Accordingly;

• An accident has occurred due to the slide of the heap leach area.

• The issue has nothing to do with the waste storage pool. There is no danger regarding our waste storage pool.

• There was no cyanide flow into the Karasu (Euphrates) River.

There was no environmental pollution due to the slide, and despite this, all necessary measures were taken quickly and the site was taken under control.

• Surface water samples were taken from 6 points. The samples taken were at normal values ​​and there was no pollution.

Anagold will fully inform the public about the details of the incident and clearly explain the reasons. In addition, it is determined to take the necessary measures to prevent similar situations.

Our company is committed to always keeping worker health and safety at the highest level. Therefore, we are determined to take all necessary steps to fully understand the reasons for the incident and to prevent similar situations from recurring.
